JONATHAN ROUSSET
Jonathan Edward Rousset died January 8, 2021 in New Orleans, Louisiana from injuries sustained in a fall. He was born April 4, 1980 in New Orleans and grew up in Slidell, Louisiana where he attended Pope John Paul High School. His strong pitching arm helped his school baseball team win the Louisiana State Championship his junior and senior year. He then graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Workforce Environment.
Unfortunately, the loss of his home with Hurricane Katrina and the subsequent move of his family to Vernon, Alabama began his long trial of disabling mental illness. He was lovingly cared for by his family Donald and Tanya Rousset; his maternal grandfather, Henry Ford Graham; and his family friend Frankie Wallace. He has resided in a group home in New Orleans for the last three years.
He is survived by his Mother, Tanya L. (Rousset) McClanahan and her husband Han. His surviving sister is Natalie Beasley and her husband, Jon of Ponchatoula, LA.
He will be interred in a private ceremony at a later date due to current Covid policies.
