Johnny David Turner, age 49, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024 in Caledonia, MS.
Mr. Turner, born on October 13, 1974, in Blackshear, GA, cherished his family above all else. A dedicated Freemason in Caledonia, MS, David found joy in community service and was known for his kindness and compassion, which touched the hearts and souls of many throughout his lifetime. His military service as a field medic in the United States Army was a source of immense pride, marked by significant accomplishments.
David was the proprietor of Sapelo Outfitters, an online merchandise store, and in recent years, he excelled as a sales manager at Carl Hogan Toyota in Columbus, MS. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by his wife, Lona Lynn Turner of Townsend, GA; children, Dillon Turner of Brunswick, GA, Chloe Turner of Savannah, GA, and Austin Craven of Brunswick, GA; grandchildren, Tate Turner, Waylon, Asher, and Eden Craven; brother, Johnny Turner of Blackshear, GA; and sister, Judy Turner of Alma, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Annette Taylor Turner, and his beloved dog, Clyde.
David's profound impact on his community and his unwavering commitment to his family will be deeply cherished and remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A memorial service will be held on August 4, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Sapelo Salt Water Fishing Club 3576 Old Shellman Rd, Townsend, GA 31331
