Johnny Ray Lofton Sr. age 77 died Thursday, August 03, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Columbus. Services will be held Sunday August 6, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ben Yarber officiating; burial will follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbus. Visitation will be held Sunday from noon until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Lofton was born on Sunday, April 14, 1946, in Mount Olive, MS, to the late John E. and Katherine White Lofton. He was a member of Canaan Baptist Church and a retired sewing machine mechanic. He was an avid Ole Miss fan and loved anything outdoors. He was the best husband ever and loved his entire family with all his heart, especially his grandchildren,
