JOHN DANIEL, SR.

John Woodson Daniel Sr. age 78 died Thursday, August 19, 2021 at his residence in Columbus. Services will be held Sunday, August 22, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel 2nd 716 Ave N. Chapel with Rev. Walter Butler officiating, burial will follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbus. Visitation will be held Sunday one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Mr. Daniel was born on Tuesday, January 26, 1943 in Shuqualak, MS to the late Woodson Daniel and Bessie Mae Daniel. He attended Bethel Baptist Church. He was a driver for Columbus Brick for 30 years, then worked as a bailiff for Lowndes County for 13 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Gene, James, and Tommy Daniel.
