JO ANNE LOGAN NELSON
Jo Anne Lowe Logan Nelson age 83 died Monday June 5, 2023 at her residence in Steens. A funeral service will be held Thursday June 8, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home Chapel with Sonny McLellan and Tyler Wheat officiating; burial will follow at Lone Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Nelson was born on December 26, 1939 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Thomas Roscoe Lowe and Maudie Mae Jones Lowe. She was a longtime member of Lone Oak Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Rayburn Erven Logan, and Jimmy “Jim” Nelson, her sisters, Faye Lowe Mason, and Sarah Alice Lowe Stokes, her brothers, Charles Thomas Lowe, and Eugene Lowe, and her son-in-law, Ronnie Dale Thigpen.
