Jo Ann Nichols

Jo Ann Nichols, 88, peacefully passed away at Crossgates Nursing Home in Brandon, MS. She was born on November 26, 1936, to Oscar and Evelyn Hulett in Christian County, Illinois, and moved to Columbus, MS, with her family in 1955.

Jo Ann is survived by her siblings, Robert Hulett of Vicksburg, MS, and Maxine Roberts of Brandon, MS, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston “Nick” Nichols, and her siblings: James Hulett, Vernon Hulett, and William Hulett, all of Columbus, MS; her sister, Alene Jennings of Brandon, MS; and her brother, Elmer Hulett of Peoria, IL.

Jo Ann dedicated over 30 years of service as the warehouse manager at Mississippi Surplus Property. She was also a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church in Brandon, MS.

A graveside service will be held at Memorial Gardens in Columbus, MS, at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 20, 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church building fund.
