JEWELL WELDON

Jewell Graham Weldon, age 77, of Columbus, MS, passed away July 13, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.  Funeral services will be Saturday, July 17, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel 716 2 ^nd Ave. North location with Rev. James Black and Rev. Michael Shelton officiating.  The interment will immediately follow at Friendship Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday, July 16, 2021, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Weldon was born October 19, 1943, in Millport, AL, to the late Roy L. and Oma Duke Graham.  She was a graduate of S. D. Lee High School and attended St. Stephens United Methodist Church.  Mrs. Weldon worked for the Columbus City School District where she retired and was a self employed beautician for many years.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles David “Chuck” Weldon, Sr., brother, Sidney R. Graham, and sister, Kitty Graham Taylor.

Survivors include her sons, Charles D. Weldon, Jr. and his wife Casey of Clarksville, AR, and Chad Weldon and his wife Ami of Columbus, MS, sister, Dorothy “Dot” Sansing Conley of Columbus, MS, grandchildren, Kaitlyn Buchanan, Emily Weldon, David Weldon, Garett Weldon, Landon Blakely, and Madison Blakely, great grandchild Parker Rogers, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Michael Soule, Trent Ross, Jimmy Hildreth, Chad Waltman, Graham Sansing, Henry Sansing, Carl Crawley, Shan Rodgers, and Jim Robbins.

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of St. Stephens United Methodist Church, and grandchildren, Emily, David, and Garrett Weldon, Landon and Madison Blakely, and Kaitlyn Buchanan,
