Jewell P. Humber of Apple Valley, Minnesota

Jewell P. Humber, 97 years old, of Apple Valley Minnesota, passed away on April 12, 2023.  She is survived by her daughters Gail Watt (Vance) and Karen Humber, two grandchildren Jason Watt (Diana) and Dr. Kelsey Watt (Erik Nygren), two great grandson’s Caleb Nygren and Reid Nygren, her sister Charlene Perkins, and several nieces and nephews.  Jewell was predeceased by her husband, Milus D. Humber, one sister Clytee Wood, and three brothers Charles Pennington, Pink Pennington, and Trice Pennington. Jewell was born in Vernon, Alabama, on August 7, 1925.  She was the daughter of Lesley and Mary Jane Pennington.  She married Milus Humber on February 25, 1949. Jewell was a homemaker and nurse’s aid .  She loved to travel, crochet, and read.  Her greatest joy in life were her two daughters, grandson and granddaughter, and two great grandsons.  Throughout her life, Jewell was a very strong independent woman who always treated people with respect.  Jewell was living in Apple Valley, Minnesota, when she passed.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on April 29, 2023, at Memorial Gardens of Columbus.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
