Jewell Walker Gentry passed from this earthly life August 6 ^th , 2019. Jewell was born in Oktibbeha County Ms, August 22, 1929 to James Earsley Walker and Earline Thompson Walker. Her sweet life began at her Grandmother’s home.

She is preceded in death by brothers Jimmy, Harry, Leon and Doug. She leaves behind her brothers Bob and Don and her beautiful sister, Kay.

Jewell also leaves behind her one and true love Gerald, and three children, Gerry Gentry (Sue), Debby Gentry Howze (Odis), Angie Gentry Lewis (Rusty). Gerald and Jewell were married 72 years and were sweethearts to the end.

Jewell touched many lives with her gentle and encouraging spirit. She not only adored her seven grandchildren, Amy Gonzalez (Jim), David Gentry (Tina), Wil Robertson (Diana), Randy Gentry, Lindsey Lewis, Lacey Lewis, and Lesley Lewis. She also found much joy in her nine great grandchildren. Her legacy is one of love and support.

Jewell spent years in many roles at Artesia United Methodist Church teaching and leading others to love the Lord, and to know Christ. Her unfailing faith and commitment remains a memory to cherish for those who knew her.

Services will be held Saturday August 10, 2019 at Artesia United Methodist Church with Rev. Gene Merkl officiating; burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church.

Grandsons and Sons-In-Law will serve as pallbearers
