JESSIE MILES
Jessie Leonard Miles age 88 died Wednesday July 3, 2024 at his residence in Columbus. A celebration of life memorial service will be held Sunday July 7, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Church on The Rock 800 Tuscaloosa Road Columbus, MS 39702, with Rev. Stuart Vail and Rev. Mitchell Rushing officiating. Visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to service at the church.
Mr. Miles was born on September 26, 1935 in Delmar, AL to the late Andrew Miles, and Mamie Glaze Miles.
He was a member of Church on the Rock and the Tuesday morning Senior Bible Study Group at the Assembly Church in Columbus.
He moved from Alabama to Rockford, IL in the early 1950’s and worked for Warner Lambert in Loves Park, IL for about 20 years. After returning to Alabama he worked for the Haleyville Water Department for 30 years.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by daughter, Katrina Scallin, son, Ken Miles, brothers, Ralph Miles, Pete Miles, Harvey Lenzie Miles, sisters, Lydia Mae Miles, Sleetie Miles, grandchildren, Jeremy Miles, Brandi Riner, Chris Riner, Aaron, Jessica, great grandchild, Tyler Miles, son-in-law, Mark Dobbs, daughter-in-law, Sally Miles
