JERRY YOUNGER

Jerry Younger, age 74, passed away on September 8, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis.  Visitation will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 10:30 AM, followed by a memorial service 11:00 AM at the Younger family square located at the front of Friendship Cemetery.

Jerry was born on October 15, 1946 to the late Lewis Jr and Sarah Andrews Younger.  Jerry graduated from S. D. Lee High School and attended East Mississippi Community College.  Jerry started his railroad career with the C & G Railroad, which later merged with Illinois Central and then the Canadian National Railway.  Jerry was especially proud to be a 32 ^nd -degree Mason, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, the late Grover Cleveland Andrews of Caledonia.

Jerry is survived by his daughters Becky Younger and Martha Hope Younger Imes Clark, his son Jay Younger (Nichole), grandsons Baker Imes and John Davis Clark.  Survivors also include brothers Kenneth Younger (Lynda) of Memphis, TN and John (Jessica) Younger of Jackson, MS., and nephew Alex and his wife Kristin of Olive Branch, MS.
