JERRY KENDALL

Jerry U. Kendall, age 83, of Columbus, MS , passed away February 15, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 5, 2020 at East End Baptist Church with Rev. Byron Benson officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory 716 2 ^nd Ave. North location is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Kendall was born May 1, 1936, in Birmingham, AL, to the late Everett and Hattie Monk Kendall.  He was a graduate of Phillips High School of Birmingham.  Mr. Kendall worked as a store manager for Jitney Jungle Grocery Store for many years.  He served one term on the Columbus City Council and was a member of East End Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jay Kendall.

Survivors include his wife, Bettye Green Kendall of Columbus, MS, brothers, James Kendall of Sheffield, AL, Bobby Kendall of Dothan, AL, and Eddy White of Saraland, AL, and grandson, Jason Kendall
