Mabel Jennette "Janet" Britton, age 81, of Columbus, MS, passed away October 19, 2023, at her residence.  Funeral services will be Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel with Pete Bowen officiating.  The interment will immediately follow at Friendship Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.

Mrs. Britton was born August 8, 1942, in Aliceville, AL, to the late Jesse J. and Lorena Hale Pritchett.  She was an antiques, glass, and furniture collector. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Doug Lee, and brothers, James J. Pritchett and Carl Pritchett.

Survivors include her daughter, Kelly Britton of Columbus, MS, sons, Terry Lee and his wife Sherry of Tuscaloosa, AL, Max Britton and his wife Kim of Orlando, FL, Vince Britton and his wife Lisa of Caledonia, MS, Jacky Britton and his wife Rachel of Columbus, MS, and Cody Howell of Columbus, MS, sister, Jearlyn Hammond of Chicago, IL, brothers, Bobby Pritchett and his wife Janet of Aliceville, AL, and Jerry Pritchett and his wife Pat of Tuscaloosa, AL, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
