James Ray Wooten age 77 died Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Generations of Red Bay in Red Bay AL. Services will be held Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel with Bro.  Anthony Miller officiating, burial will follow at Living Faith Tabernacle Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Mr. Wooten was born in Lowndes County MS, to the late David Wooten and Frances Perrigen Wooten.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Pugh Wooten, sisters, Mary Katherine Collins, Margaret Morris and Barbara Butler, and his brother, David Wooten.
