James Harold “Jimbo” Smith died Monday December 2, 2024, at is granddaughter’s residence in Anniston, AL Services will be held Saturday December 7, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor’s Glenn Miller and David Lawrence officiating; burial will follow at Rowan Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith was born in Columbus to the late James Harold Smith, Sr., and Catherine Carr Smith. He was a retired rural route carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and an avid bass fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter Elsie Zeda Catherine Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Mize Smith, daughter, Ann Lee Smith Baker, grandchildren, Mara Geiger and her husband Logan, and Jeradd Baker.

Serving as pallbearers will be:

Jeradd Baker, Logan Geiger, Russell Freeman, Marty Wallace, Wesley Gibson, Harold Trimm, Jr., Wayne Cantrell, and Stephen Trimm.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Jimmy Ledsworth, Keith Savely, Chris Sansing, John Beasley, Lance Mitchener, Frank Jinkins, Jonathan Logan and All rural route mail carriers.
