Jacob Brackin

Christopher Lee Jacob Brackin, age 42, of Columbus, MS, passed away November 29, 2021, in Columbus.  Funeral services will be Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. David Honeycutt officiating.  Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.  Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory 903 College St. location is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Brackin was born July 20, 1979, in Columbus, MS, to Ronnie and Betsy House Brackin of Columbus, MS.  He attended New Hope School and Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.  Jacob worked for Asplundh and Columbus Light & Water for many years.  He loved his sons dearly and loved hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his former wife, Mandy Holiday Brackin of Columbus, MS, sons, Alex and Cooper Brackin, both of Columbus, MS, Maternal Grandmother, Mary Sue House of Columbus, MS, brothers, Ronnie Brackin, Jr. of MO, and David Brackin (Leah) of Columbus, MS, sisters, Terrie Stone (Ernie) of Columbus, MS, Gayle McCool (Terry) of Pickensville, AL, and Jessica Sides (Trey) of Colorado Springs, MO, nephews, Parker McCool and Lawson Brackin, and nieces, Bryanna McCool, Mackenzie West, and Olivia Brackin.
