Jack D Gordman, Sr.

Jack Douglas Gordman, Sr., age 89, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Baptist Memorial in Columbus, MS.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Rowan Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Jack was born on August 18, 1933, in Pennsylvania, to the late Alan and Lillian Tillman Gordman. He was of the Methodist faith and a Korean War Vet.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Bollinger.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Sansing Gordman; sons, Jack Gordman, Jr. (Sacia), Alan Gordman (Jenni) and Mark Gordman; brother, Richard Alan Gordman; niece, Susan Grace; and grandchildren, Jala Gordman, Drake Gordman (Millie) and Shelby Tucker (Josh).

Pallbearers will be Johnny Sansing, Paul Sansing, Jr., Todd Derby, Steve Yarbrough, Kevin Smith and Marty Pennington. Honorary pallbearers are the doctors and staff of Baptist Memorial Hospital.
