Iva Lee O’Callaghan, age 98, died Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Vineyard Court Nursing Home in Columbus.  No services are planned at this time.  Mrs. O’Callaghan was born on September 5, 1922 in Hackleburg, Alabama to the late Willie James and Martha Parker Frederick.  She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and a homemaker.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward O’Callaghan, son, Stephen E. O’Callaghan, great-grandson, Cody Williams, brothers, Lee Roy Frederick, W.C. Frederick, sisters, Pauline Alonzo, Lorraine Langley, Jewel Frederick, Joyce Machian, and Dot Batson.

She leaves her son, John (Marilyn) O’Callaghan of Columbus, MS, two grandsons, Chris O’Callaghan of Columbus, MS, Josh O’Callaghan of Caledonia, MS, five granddaughters, Carol (Billy) Staves of Wetumpka, Alabama, Amy O’Callaghan of Columbus, MS, Heather O’Callaghan of Ft. Walton Beach, FL., Holly (Brent) Shaw of Steens, MS, and Megan Clark of Steens, MS, 16 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

A private family service will be held at a later date.  Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory College Street is in charge of arrangements.
