IRMA WEATHERS

Irma Ashcraft Weathers, age 90, of Columbus, MS , passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at 10:25 AM at her residence.  A family graveside service will be held Thursday, May 21, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Bill Hurt officiating.  Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory 716 2 ^nd Ave. North location is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Weathers was born August 9, 1929, in Lowndes County, MS, to the late George E. and Eura Mae Ashcraft.  She was a 1946 graduate of New Hope High School and was an avid reader.  She retired from Seminole Manufacturing after 37 years of service.  Mrs. Weathers was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and loved her Sunday School Class.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Weathers, Jr., three sisters, Hazel Wallace, Janet Bobbitt, Barbara Jean Ashcraft, and one brother, Lenwood Ashcraft.

Mrs. Weathers is survived by her daughter, Barbara McCullough and her husband Buddy of Columbus, MS, grandchildren, Christy Hudson and her husband Shawn, Tommy McCullough and his wife Jen, three great grandchildren, Jake, Megan, and Anna Grace McCullough, and one sister, Sarah LaPrade.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.  A special thanks goes to Baptist Memorial Hospice, Trinity Nursing Home, and her many caregivers she had through the years.
