Irma Melton Kizer of Columbus, Mississippi

Mrs. Irma Melton Kizer, 79, died Friday, August 2, 2019 at Windsor Place. Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral & Crematory, Second Avenue North location, will be in charge of her arrangements.

One of nine children of the late Joe and Lela Gish Melton, Mrs. Kizer was born March 5, 1940 in Henderson, KY. She was a retired bookkeeper and worked for several businesses in the area. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by five brothers and sisters Mary Etta Melton Davis, Eula Jean Melton Paragan, Joseph Kenneth Melton, James Martin Melton and Alfred Ronald  Melton, a grandson Jared Kizer and her husband Hugh B. Kizer.

Mrs. Kizer is survived by her sons Jay Kizer, Sam Kizer and JD Kizer, all of Columbus, her sisters Janice Melton Sutton (Clyde) and JoAnn Wells (Darrell) and a brother Jerry Dan Melton, all of Henderson, KY. She is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
