HAROLD KENT

Harold Ford Kent age 86 died Saturday, July 10, 2021 at his residence in Columbus. Services will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the 716 2 nd Ave N Chapel of Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Rutledge officiating, burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Kent was born on Wednesday, October 31, 1934 in Sturgis, MS to the late Ben Erving and Beatrice Ford Kent. He was a member of Lighthouse and a former member of First Freewill Baptist Church. Over the years he served as head usher and trustee. He was an electrician and was retired after 35 years at City Electric. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Gladys Whitehead, James Kent, Lucille Hatcher, Ervin Kent, J.W. Kent, Dot Stokes, Sam Kent, Ondia Tillman, and Charles Kent.
