Frank McKellar

Frank Monroe McKellar, 74, passed away on September 21, 2024, in West Point, MS. Born on October 14, 1949, Frank was a lifelong resident of Mississippi, graduating from Lee High School in Columbus before earning a degree from the University of Mississippi, where he played football.

Frank was a self-employed entrepreneur and dedicated many years to building his business, United Financial Products, Inc.

Beyond his professional life, Frank was passionate about Ole Miss football and enjoyed his time watching SEC games, whether on television or in the stands. He also cherished the outdoors and spent much of his time hunting, fishing, and visiting with family and friends at his camphouse.

He is survived by his children, Jason (Lucy) McKellar and Ivey (Ken) Ivy of West Point, MS and John Carl McKellar of Ridgeland, MS and four grandchildren. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Alice and Carl McKellar, Sr., his brothers, Carl McKellar, Jr. and Larry McKellar, and his sister, Martha Ellis McKellar.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 10 to 11 AM at Memorial Funeral Home, and a graveside service will immediately follow at Friendship Cemetery in Columbus, MS with The Reverend Chad Bowen officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a charity of your choice in Frank McKellar’s memory.
