FRANCES JUTMAN

Frances Spruill Jutman, age 93, of Columbus, MS , passed away March 24, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.  Graveside services will be Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gardens of Columbus with Rev. Charlie Whitney officiating.  Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory 903 College St. location is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Jutman was born May 5, 1927, in Monroe County, MS, to the late George H. and Pearl Livingston Spruill.  She retired from Cadence Bank after a career in banking for over 60 years.  Mrs. Jutman lived a life of service to the community by being associated with civic and professional clubs and organizations.  She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jutman was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Jutman, and brother, Gene Spruill.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol W. Toyama and her husband Nathan of Sacramento, CA, step daughter, Jean Jutman of Plantersville, MS, niece, Lynn Spruill of Starkville, MS, grandchildren, Aaron Toyama (Ngocly) of Sacramento, CA, Elizabeth Toyama Bailey (Tom) of Kansas City, MO, and Lucinda Toyama (Eric) of Boston, MA, and she will also be missed by her beloved “Giggle Girls,” Jan Ballard, Sandra Stone, and Elaine Hegwood.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Cyr, Austin Cyr, Matt Cyr, Fred Bell, Mark Griffin, and Tom Green.
