FRANCES FREEMAN

Frances Inez Williams Freeman, age 83, of Columbus, MS , passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021, at her residence.  Graveside services will be Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Friendship Cemetery with Rev. Jearl Hunley officiating and Rev. Luke Lawson assisting.  Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory 903 College St. location is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Freeman was born March 21, 1938, in Lowndes County, MS, to the late Leroy Wilson and Eudora Thompson Williams.  She was a graduate S. D. Lee High School and a 1959 graduate of MSCW.  Mrs. Freeman worked in insurance for 43 years having worked for McDaniel Insurance, Wiggers Insurance, and retiring from Galloway Chandler McKinney.  She was a member of the Columbus Association of Insurance Women and First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Curry Freeman, Jr. of Columbus, MS, sons, Trey Freeman and his wife Melanie and Russell Freeman, both of Columbus, MS, sister, Janet Carter and her husband Don of Walterboro, SC, grandchildren, Curry Freeman, IV and his wife Ashley and Sarah Freeman Adams and her husband Steve, and great grandchildren, Curry Freeman, V and Maeleigh Jo Freeman.

The family would like to express their special thanks to Dr. John Stanback and staff, Legacy Hospice, Barbara, Celia, and all her caregivers, and to her family, church, and friends.
