FRANCES LAURA (ROBISON) CARTER
Frances L. Robison Carter, 101, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at her residence in Columbus, MS. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 29, 2021 at 2:00 pm at The Church of the Nazarene. Interment will immediately follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbus. Pastor Stephen Joiner is officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until service time at the church. Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory, College Street Location has been entrusted with arrangements.
Mrs. Carter was born on January 16, 1920 in Detroit, AL to the late O.O. Robison and Emma Sullivan Robison. She was a member of The Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A.B. Carter;
son: Robert "Bob" Carter; brothers: James, Chris, and W.C.; and sisters: Mae, Lois, Inez, Madgie, and Lona.
She is survived by her daughters: Donna Beatty (Tommy), Sharon Sims (Guy); son: Boyd Carter (Monika); grandchildren: Shelley Strickland, Becky Janssen, Grant Davis, Cari Nipper, Jason Carter, Josh Carter, Tina Smith, Elena Pospish, Justin Carter; 19 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Randall S. Swails, Richard D. Swails, Timothy J. Davis, Billy Wood, Teddy Strickland, and David Janssen.
