Floyd E Pruden

FLOYD PRUDEN - Floyd Everett Pruden, Jr., age 73, of Columbus, MS, passed away June 7, 2022, at his residence.  Graveside services will be Friday, June 10, 2022, at 3:30 PM at Lee Memorial Park in Verona, MS with Rev. Ann Russell Bradley officiating.  Visitation will be Friday, June 10, 2022, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory.

Mr. Pruden was born March 25, 1949, in Pascagoula, MS, to the late Floyd E. and Lorena Adams Pruden.  He was a graduate of S. D. Lee High School and the University of Mississippi where he received degrees in general business and accounting and was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity.  In 2005, Floyd retired after over 30 years service with agencies in the U. S. Department of Agriculture as an auditor and lastly as a hearing officer.  He was a long time member of First United Methodist Church where he enjoyed volunteering with the Backpack Food Program for the students at Franklin Academy of Columbus, the oldest public school in the State of Mississippi, and the Loaves and Fishes Meal Program.  Floyd enjoyed supporting the sports programs at Ole Miss and was a lifetime member of the University of Mississippi Alumni Association.

Floyd is survived by numerous loving cousins.

Pallbearers will be men of First United Methodist Church.
