Mrs. Seagraves was born December 21, 1932, in Lowndes County, MS, to the late John Pickett and Birdie Mae Moore Grant. She attended MSCW and was a member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Seagraves attended New Salem Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, James A. "Jim" Seagraves and sister, Evelyn Hocutt.
Survivors include her sons, Steve Seagraves, Sr. and his wife Denise of Caledonia, MS, and David Seagraves of Caledonia, MS, sisters, Ruby Lee Green of Douglasville, GA, Elizabeth Godfrey of Caledonia, MS, and Diane Seagraves of Cabot, AR, grandchildren, Steve Seagraves Jr. and Chad Seagraves and his wife Robyn, and 5 great grandchildren.
