Elena Pabros Delim Sims

Elena Pabros Delim Sims, 87, of Steens, MS passed away March 16 at her home. A private family service will be held at Memorial Gardens in Columbus, MS with Bro. Martin Gardner officiating and Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Sims was born December 21, 1931 to the late Macaria Pabros and Mariano Delim of Manila, Philippines. She retired from United Technologies of Columbus. She was Catholic infaith. Mrs. Sims was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to travel and enjoyed attending and watching sports events. She loved cooking, holidays, and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Sims was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Ray Sims of Steens, and twin grandsons, Jonathan and Bradley Aldridge of Caledonia, her sister, Lolita Maceachron of Grand Rapids, MI as well as her brothers, Manuel Delim, Ernesto Delim, Dominador Delim, and Robert Delim all of Manila, Philippines. She is survived by her children, Shirley (David) Dehon of Albuquerque, NM, Cynthia (George) Corbell, Jane (Doug) Aldridge, Carole Summerall, and Johnnie Ray Sims IIall of Steens, Missy (John) Wilson of Caledonia, and Jimmy Sims of La Marsa, Tunisia. Mrs. Sims is survived by twelve grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Sims is also survived by her sister, Fortunata Ollero of Manila, Philippines.
