Edith Martin Markham age 91 died Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at 10:00 am at Egger Cemetery in Caledonia, MS, with Dr. Breck Ladd officiating. The procession will leave Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home at 9:00am. All friends and family are welcome to attend.

Ms. Markham was born December 12, 1931, in Caledonia, MS, to the late Charlie H. Martin, Sr. and Inez McCollum Martin. She was a faithful member of Fairview Baptist Church. She retired after many years as an accountant for Menotti Honda. She enjoyed reading, putting puzzles together, and watching MSU sports.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ed Markham, along with two brothers, Charlie and Jack, and two sisters, Sarah and Turah Mae. She is survived by a sister, Doris Holtman (Gary), daughters Cindy Hunter and Amy Hall (Tim), son Bruce Markham (Deedee), grandchildren Jeff Hunter, Tyler Hunter (Jenifer), Clint Markham (Carley), Emily Riley (Drake), Brooke Williams, Kate Williams, Markham Williams, Madi Hall, Ethan Hall, Jack Hall, and eight great grandchildren.
