EDDIE HEFLIN

Eddie L. Heflin age 77 died Friday, January 06, 2023 at Windsor Place Nursing & Rehab Center in Columbus. Services will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel with Rev. Danny Avery officiating, burial will follow at Brooksville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Heflin was born on Friday, July 06, 1945 in Macon, MS to the late E.L. and Ruth Carpenter Heflin. He was a member of Canaan Baptist Church, and attended Brooksville School from the 1 st grade to the 10 th grade, then graduated from Starkville High School in 1963. He was a retired employee of KCS Railroad after 38 years of service. Mr. Heflin was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved spending time with his grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Janice Heflin and Peggy Heflin, his grandson, Jon Tyler Martin and step-daughter, Jennifer Seuffer.

Survivors include:

Children: Lisa Martin (Andy), Columbus, MS, John Heflin, (Susan) Starkville, MS, and Doug Heflin (Patricia), Starkville, MS

Sisters: Linda Heard, and Brenda Lundy, both of Oklahoma

Grandchildren: Kyle Martin, (Amanda), Kale Martin, (Anna), Kolby Martin, Noah Heflin, Nason Heflin, Anna Claire Heflin, Ella Kate Heflin, Kevin, Adam, Josh, Casey, Jacob, Justin Crittenden, and Jessie Seuffer.

Step-Children: Louis, Mike, and John Thompson, and Jason Seuffer

6 Great Grandchildren

Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
