It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dorothy Louise “Dot” Walter’s, who passed away peacefully on November 23, 2024, at her residence. She was 91 years old.  Born on April 12, 1933, in Columbus, Ms. Dot was the loving daughter to the late Ella Grace Sheehan and John Edward Sheehan. She grew up in Memphis, TN.

Dot had a lot of passions in her life. Her number one passion was her family. She loved with her whole heart. She was a Certified Antiques Dealer, She owned and ran Dot’s Antique’s. She dearly loved gardening and working in her yard. She was what we all liked to call a fashionista. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and collecting rocks. Dot was a member of The Church of Christ in Steens, Ms. Dot was known by her family as Mama Dot, Mama D, and Dotty.

 She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Grace “Cindy” Brink (Chip), Grandchildren: Joshua Chesley “Josh” Avery (Brandy), Christopher Marshall “Chris” Brink (Joyce), Caleb Edward Brink (Haley), Jonathan Thomas Breckenridge (Crystal), and Brittany Skye Sanderson (Rob).

 Great Grandchildren: Asia Hoyt, Jacob Avery, Ryleigh Avery, Amy-Grace Brink, Jonah Brink, Ethan Breckenridge, Cyan Sanderson, Son-in-law: Robert “Bob” Breckenridge, Special friend: Dalia Lookingbill.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband Henry “Bud” Walters (retired chief of detectives for Columbus, MS) and loving daughter Judy Lee Breckenridge. 

 Funeral service will be held on November 29, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Steens Church of Christ in Steens with Pete Bowen and Tim Gentle officiating, burial will follow at Egger Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday one hour prior to service at the church.

 In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Steens Church of Christ.

Mama Dot will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
