DORIS NEAL CROWE

Doris Neal Crowe, age 95, of Columbus, MS, passed away March 4, 2020, at Trinity Health Care Center.  Funeral services will be Friday, March 6, 2020, at 3:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel 716 2 ^nd Ave. North location with Rev. Charlie Whitney officiating.  The interment will immediately follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbus.  Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.

Mrs. Crowe was born July 27, 1924, in Bankston, AL, to the late Troy and Lucy Kelley Neal.  She married the love of her life, Alfred Crowe, in April 1941, and together they raised five children, four boys and one girl.  For many years they owned and operated Columbus Business Machines.  In her later years, Doris was a care giver for many different elders whom she cared so deeply about.  She was front desk receptionist for many years and later a Pink Lady at Baptist Memorial Hospital for 21 years before retiring.  Although she was born and raised in Alabama, Doris was an avid Mississippi State fan.  She was a lifetime member of East End Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Crowe, son, Gerald Crowe, brothers, Quinton Neal and William Neal, and sisters, Ruth Spiller and Myra Neal.

Mrs. Crowe leaves behind daughter, Pam Flye and her husband Danny, sons, Doug Crowe and his wife Rose, Ronnie Crowe and his wife Karen, and Mike Crowe and his wife Mary, daughter-in-law, Lynn Crowe Smith and her husband Gene, 9 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers will be the staff and nurses of Trinity Health Care Center.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Our Anchor Ministries, a non-profit corporation raising funds for missions and evangelism, 57 Fern Valley Rd., Brandon, MS, 39042, and Junior Daughters of the King, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 318 College St., Columbus, MS, 39701.
