Debra Ruth McKee Hart, 62, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022 at her residence in Columbus, MS.  A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Free Life Church in Sulligent, AL.  Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.

Debra was born on September 29, 1959 in Colorado to the late Preston McKee and Laura Ruth Taylor.  She retired from law enforcement after serving for 10 years.  She remained active in her law enforcement community and was well known and loved by all.

She is survived by her three children: D anielle Hingle (Patrick Hall Cooper) of Winona, MS, Christopher Howell (Christy Howell) of Alabaster, AL, and Sean Hart (Shelby Taylor) of Collierville, TN; siblings, Danny McKee, Scott McKee, John McKee, Beverly McKee, and Mary Mule; special niece, Grace McKee; special great niece, Larissa McKee; and three grandchildren, Christopher Austin Howell, Christian Alexander Howell, and Tucker Hall Cooper.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Steve Huddleston.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the local community and law enforcement family of Columbus for their love and kindness shown to Debra.
