Deborah Turnage Weseli

May 22, 1956 — July 8, 2023

Deborah Turnage Weseli passed away peacefully at her home on July 8, 2023. A Mass of Resurrection will be held Saturday July 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church.
Debbie was born May 22, 1956, in Wilson, North Carolina to the late John Wayne and Barbara Turnage. Debbie graduated from Saratoga Central High School and then attended East Carolina University where she obtained a bachelor's degree in business education and a master’s degree in business administration. She then moved to Marietta, Georgia where she began her career in finance. It was there she met Scott Weseli. After marrying at Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington in 1994, they returned home and celebrated with friends and family. Together they made their home at their cattle operation in Lowndes County. Locally, Debbie continued her accounting and finance career at Bryan Foods in West Point, MS and enjoyed her work with several companies over the next twenty years. They welcomed their son, John Bradley Weseli on March 28, 1996. Her hobbies included riding and spending time with her horses on the farm, cooking for friends & family, gardening, and being involved in Bradley’s athletics.
She is survived by her husband Scott, son Bradley, brother Carlton Turnage (Sharon), sister Vickie Turnage, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Peggy Weseli.
Our family would like to express their gratitude to Carrie Brooks who so lovingly cared for Debbie each and every day. We would also like to thank Amy Richardson (nurse), and Rev. Melvin Mordecai for their support over the past few years.
