DAVID DYSON

David Owen Dyson, 58, passed away at Huntsville, AL on August 30, 2024 from a brain hemorrhage. He was a 1984 graduate of Heritage Academy and a 1989 Aerospace Engineering graduate of Mississippi State University. When he was 5-years old, he announced that he was going to be an Aeronautical Engineer and followed that dream throughout his life. Many were the times as a little boy that he stayed up all night watching a space launch and flight. He was employed by several space related companies and was once responsible for assuring that the payload for the Space Shuttle arrived on time. He was currently employed as Senior Engineer/Analyst by Brockwell Technologies., Inc, contractors to the US Army Aviation and Missile Command. He is predeceased by his Grandparents, Owen F. and Irene Bowlin Dyson of Columbus and Henry D. and Lydia Vick Plyler of Kennedy, AL. He is survived by his parents, John O. and Henri Jane Plyler Dyson, his brother Shawn L. Dyson (Eliska Daves) of Columbus, and niece, Lydia M. Davis (Reece) of Highland Ranch, CO. A  celebration of life and memorial service will be announced at a later date.
