DANNY WILLIAMS - Danny Wayne Williams, age 73, of Columbus, MS, passed away December 29, 2022, at his residence.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Whitney and Dr. Billy Richard Williams officiating.  The interment will immediately follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbus with military honors.  Visitation will be Tuesday, January 3, 2023, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church.  Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Williams was born December 18, 1949, in Aberdeen, MS, to the late Archie Buford and Zema Marie Pickle Williams.  He was a graduate of Aberdeen High School and the Golden Triangle Vocational Technical Center.  Mr. Williams retired as vice president of operations from Baber's Leasing and was a charter member of Grace Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Ranck.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Sharon Golson Williams of Columbus, MS, son, Cory Williams and his wife Becky of Columbus, MS, daughter, Lacey Breen and her husband Dr. Dallas of Starkville, MS, brother, Dr. Billy Richard Williams and his wife Rebecca of Madison, MS, and grandchildren, Zoe Williams, Asher Williams, and Cayden Breen.

Pallbearers will be Mark Williams, Mike Meggs, Ray Atkinson, Ray Williams, Charles Floyd Williams and Larry Wade Williams.
