Chris Reichle

CHRIS REICHLE

On Tuesday, August 17, 2021, Christopher Evans Reichle passed away at the age of 48. Chris Reichle first joined this world on September 2, 1972 and as his mother would have you know, slept through the night when he was only 12 days old. He is the second of three sons born to Henry Norfleet Reichle and Dorothy Evans Reichle. Chris attended school in Columbus his entire life and graduated from Heritage Academy as a proud member of the class of 1990. Chris went on to major in history at the University of Mississippi where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta, and with resilience and fortitude and grit, he graduated in 1996. History remained one of Chris’s great passions in life, and he will be fondly remembered for sharing that passion and joy for knowledge with everyone around him. Of course, his time at the University of Mississippi left him with another passion in life- Ole Miss football and baseball. Chris loved Ole Miss, the SEC, and tailgating in the Grove on a beautiful fall day in what he called “God’s Country.” He loved it so much that he adopted red and blue as his primary interior decorating colors. When he wasn’t in red and blue for the Rebels, he was in camouflage and orange. He loved hunting and time spent in nature, but many have suspected that it is because it gave him numerous opportunities to check the weather and dutifully inform those around him. But only Chris could make even the 10-day forecast seem like the funniest thing you had ever heard. Chris had an almost uncanny ability to make everyone laugh no matter (and almost in spite of) where he was or what he was doing. Chris was the Tennessee Valley Regional Manager for Brandsafway Solutions. He was, in the simplest terms, a leader. He had a way of speaking that made everyone want to just stop and listen. Not only was he a worker of unmatched resolve and commitment, but he also inspired that resolve and commitment in those around him. More than anything though, Chris loved his family dearly, and he was proud to say so every opportunity he had. He was the best father, son, and brother that anyone could ask for. He was an incredible, devoted father who’s pride and joy was his two children. He made it to everything whether it was a three hour play or a 100 degree summer baseball game, he was there for his children. He was a constant and a pillar for them. Chris will be remembered as a man of faith, family, and fortitude.  Preceding him in death are his father, Henry Norfleet Reichle, grandparents Lois and John Reichle and Will and Margaret Evans, and aunt Margaret Evans Pittman. Surviving Chris are his children, Alexandria Therese Reichle of Wellesley, MA and Oxford, MS and Christopher Elijah Reichle of Oxford, MS; his partner in life and love, Lisa Adee, of Memphis, TN; his mother, Dot Reichle of Columbus, MS; his brothers and sisters-in-law, John William and Samantha Reichle of Birmingham, AL and Hank and Merritt Reichle of Greenwood, MS; his nieces and nephews John Caleb Reichle, Elisabeth Reichle Brightbill, Ethan Reichle, Samuel Reichle, Jack Reichle, Pierce Reichle, and Britt Reichle, Matthew Brightbill, and Bennett Brightbill; uncles, Stephen Reichle and William Leo Evans, III “Uncle Bill”; and aunt, Lucy Christopher Reichle Vydra. A visitation for Chris will be held at 9:30am on Saturday, August 21 at Annunciation Catholic Church, 823 College St., Columbus, MS. The service will follow at 11:00 .
