CHRIS OSWALT

Chris Ervin Oswalt “Mountain Man” age 62, Sunday November 3, 2019 in New Mexico. Memorial services will be held Sunday November 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Lammons officiating. The Oswalt family will receive guest immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.

Chris was born on December 30, 1956 in Columbus to the late James Ervin Oswalt and Katherine Faye Hood Oswalt. Chris was a board member of Gaining Ground Sustainably Institute of Mississippi, and a contributing author to The Journal of Sustainable Living and presenter at Sustaining Living Conferences 2010-2013. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Homestead Education Center, where he wrote articles, and presented at conferences all over the state. Chris loved being outdoors, whether working or recreation, as long as it was outside.
