Charlie Mae Hill

CHARLIE HILL - Charlie Mae Walker Hill, age 82, of Steens, MS, passed away December 18, 2021, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.  Funeral services will be Thursday, December 23, 2021, at 11:30 AM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel 903 College St. location with Bro. David Westmoreland officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.

Mrs. Hill was born April 27, 1939, in Winston County, MS, to the late Charley James and Lillie Mae Williams Walker.  She was a member of Border Springs Baptist Church and loved spending time with and preparing meals for family.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe W. Hill, Sr., son, Joe W. Hill, Jr., and daughter, Joann Eaves.

Survivors include her daughters, Cathy Young and her husband Frankie of Steens, MS, and Lynn Short and her husband Jimmy of Caledonia, MS, sisters, Dollye McBrayer of Louisville, MS, Nancy Bradford and her husband Buddy of Columbus, MS, and Joyce Bushey of Millport, AL, and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Casey Hill, Daniel Hill, Corey Hill, Billy Hill, Brandon Bushey, and Dewayne Young.
