, passed away July 28, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be

at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Chaplain Jonathan Blackburn officiating. Visitation will be
Sunday, July 31, 2022, from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM
at Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mr. Powe was born July 26, 1953, in Buckatunna, MS, to the late Frank and Pinkie Jones Powe. He attended the University of Mississippi and graduated from New Mexico State University. Mr. Powe worked at Baptist Memorial Hospital as manager of safety, security, and laundry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Powe.
Survivors include his partner, Gwen Alvey of Columbus, MS, son, Brian Powe of Philadelphia, PA, daughters, Lanthea Mangum of Hattiesburg, MS, Amber Powe of Huntsville, AL, and Heather Fast of College Station, TX, sister, Kathy Milstead of Mobile, AL, and four grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
