George Calhoun Howard -- known to everyone as Cal --  was born on April 7th, 1961 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and passed away on November 4th, 2021, in Columbus, Mississippi.
Cal was educated at Heritage Academy in Columbus, Mississippi, at Darlington School in Darlington, Georgia, and attended Mississippi State University where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. From 1985-2000, he worked in a family-owned business, Sqwincher Corporation, alongside his brother, Tommy. In every endeavor, professional and personal, Cal was cherished for his generous, kind-hearted personality, and for his robust sense of humor. He was devoted to those he loved; his family at large, his nieces and nephews in particular, and to his wide-ranging circle of friends. Fr om childhood an avid fisherman, Cal pursued this passion at home and abroad with great abandon and shared these adventures with family and friends in far-flung locales that include Alaska and Russia.
Predeceased by his mother, Diane Legan Howard, Cal is survived by his father, Malcolm "Mack" Howard and his wife, Kathie. By his sister, Marion Wallace, her husband, Ham and their children Diana and Hamilton. By his sister Diana Fisketjon and her husband Gary. By his brother Tommy, his wife Brenda, and their children Elizabeth and Mack.
