Sidney "Bud" Carroll Myers, Jr. of Morristown, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at the age of 77 in his beloved hometown of Caledonia, Mississippi.
The child of Sidney Myers, Sr. and Frances Moore Myers, he was born in Caledonia, Mississippi on December 23, 1942, where he spent his formative years at Caledonia Elementary, Junior, and High Schools.
Bud was a master homebuilder; brick mason; artisan; gourmet cook; avid hunter; gifted guitar player; staunch democrat; Ole Miss superfan; a founder of Evangel Assembly of God; a missionary builder; and, most significantly, devoted husband and doting father and "Grandy".
He is survived by his wife Joanne Myers; daughters Kimberly Smith, Deborah Huntsman, and Vicky Silvermintz (Jared); siblings Dorothy "Tootsie" Sansing, Donald Myers, and Julia Roberts; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and Archie, his feisty dog.
A homegoing celebration will be held at his brother Don Myers' home at 6200 Wolfe Road, Columbus, Mississippi on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
