William Jeffrey "Bud" Lowe, 72, of Columbus, Mississippi, passed away July 18, 2024, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 10:30 am at Friendship Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Raigan Miskelly officiating. Visitation with the family will be held at Memorial Funeral Home from 9:00 am -10:00 am prior to the graveside service.
Bud was born March 15, 1952, to the late Leon and Dolores Lowe. He was a graduate of Coahoma County High School, Clarksdale Mississippi, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Mississippi. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He was also a member of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Columbus. Bud returned home to Clarksdale after graduation where he began his career in the insurance business. In 1976, he moved to Columbus and continued in the insurance business for many years. He eventually followed his passion for sports, owning a sports card and memorabilia business. Friendships were cultivated and cherished by Bud throughout this endeavor. Continuing with his love for sports, he was always involved in his daughter's and granddaughter's lives as a supportive spectator or coach. His love for Ole Miss was steadfast. No matter what the sport or the season would bring, he was a Rebel through and through. Bud always put his family first. He was a cherished son, loving brother and husband, devoted father, proud grandfather and faithful friend.
Bud is survived by his wife, Jennifer Lowe, daughters Amy Lowe Sharp (Louis), Laura Lowe Newman (Ryan), Allie Lowe Rogers (Chase), stepson Dusty Snider (Brooke). Granddaughters Lores, Lucy and Laura Lea Sharp of Columbus, Mississippi, Audrey Grace and Liza Newman of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Madi Jane and Caroline Joyce Rogers of Mantachie, Mississippi. He is preceded in death by his loving sister, Joyce Lowe Franco.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Franco, Dusty Snider, Scotty Glasgow, Jason Stults, Anthony Patterson, Dr. Charles Hall, Guy Price, Mike Rainer, Jim Wamble, Ronnie Jaynes, Doug Robertson and Chris David.
