Brad Porter

Bradley Doyle Porter, age 52, of Bossier City, LA, formerly of Columbus, MS, passed away March 13, 2023.  A graveside service will be held Saturday, March18, 2023, at 11:30 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday at Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory.

The son of the late Alvin Doyle and Rebecca Griffin Porter, Mr. Porter was born February 18 , 1971 in Columbus, MS. He was a 1989 Graduate of New Hope High School and earned an associate degree at MUW. After college, he enlisted in the United States Navy and became a Fleet Marine Force Corpsman, served as a law enforcement officer, then worked in Bossier City, LA, closer to family. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and Freemason Columbus Lodge No. 5, F. & A.M.

Mr. Porter is survived by his wife of 10 years, Shanna Camp Porter, his sons and daughter Brittney, Benjamin, and Brentley Porter as well as grandchildren Freya Sibley and William Porter. He is also survived by brother and sister-in-law Greg and Crystal Porter.

Pallbearers will be Benjamin Porter, Brentley Porter, Greg Porter, Dayton Porter, Shawn Berry, and Stephen Blanton. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Crane, Randy Lockhart, Danny Langford, Jim Kibe, and Bobby Brandon.
