Bonnie Boyd

Bonnie Loftis Boyd, age 84, of Columbus, MS, passed away January 12, 2025, at her residence at Trinity Place Retirement Community. Graveside services will be Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Friendship Cemetery with Rev. Vaughn Stafford officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM at Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory.

 Mrs. Boyd was born January 23, 1940, in Columbus, MS, to the late Andrew Hartwell and Louise Whitman Loftis. She was a graduate of S. D. Lee High School and worked as a legal secretary for many years for Threadgill Smith Sanders & Jolly Law Firm and also for Gary Geeslin. Mrs. Boyd was a current member of First Methodist Church and formerly was a member of First Presbyterian Church on Bluecutt Rd. where she served as deacon and elder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Craddock "Charlie" Boyd.

 Survivors include her son, Andy Boyd and his wife Sherry of Columbus, MS, daughters, Mary Katherine Dowdle of Starkville, MS, and Libba Boyd Andrews and her husband Andy of Starkville, MS, grandchildren, Lee Boyd and his wife Allison, Russ Boyd and his wife Jessica, Landon Boyd and his wife Ashley, Joshua Dowdle and his wife Lesley, and Maggie Dowdle, and nine great grandchildren.
