BETTY PHILLIPS

Betty Wilcox Phillips, age 79, of Columbus, MS , passed away May 4, 2020, at The Arrington.  Graveside services will be Thursday, May 7, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Friendship Cemetery with Father Jeffrey Waldrep officiating.  Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory 903 College St. location is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Phillips was born July 16, 1940, in Ethelsville, AL, to the late Robert Wilbert and Mazie Fulgham Wilcox.  She was a graduate of Liberty High School and was the co-owner of Dutch Maid Equipment Company.  Mrs. Phillips was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald “Buddy” Wilcox.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Samuel Thomas Phillips of Columbus, MS, sons, Kevin Anthony Phillips and his wife Gina of Columbus, MS, and Samuel Michael Phillips and his wife Kimberly of Columbus, MS, daughter, Melissa Phillips Harlow and her husband Anthony of Pelham, AL, brother, Bobby Wilcox of Russellville, AR, sister, Carolyn “Bicki” Sansing of Columbus, MS, and grandchildren, Elelia Phillips, Alex Phillips, Kristen Phillips, Kyler Phillips, Peyton Harlow, Blake Harlow, and Mackenzie Harlow.

Pallbearers will be Alex Phillips, Kyler Phillips, Payton Harlow, Blake Harlow, Alan Sansing, and Ashley Sansing.
