BETTY MURPHY

Betty Jane Finkley Murphy, age 82 died peacefully surrounded by her family Tuesday, November 05, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Columbus, MS. Private graveside services will be held November 8, 2019 at Ebenezer Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Murphy was born on Thursday, September 23, 1937 in Ellison Ridge Winston County, MS to the late Van and Lucy Eaves Finkley. She was a member of Fernbank Baptist Church and Reeves Chapel Baptist Church. Mrs. Murphy was an LPN, she had worked at Baptist Memorial Hospital, then retired from Internal Medicine Associates. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Johnny Murphy, her sister, Sylvia Pearson, her brothers, Bernard Finkley, Johnny Finkley, and her great grandchildren Aubrey and Ava Hoffman.
