BETTY HARRISON - Betty Lou Harrison, age 85, of Columbus, MS, passed away January 18, 2023, at her residence. Graveside services will be Sunday, January 22, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Vaughn Cemetery in Steens, MS, with Rev. Kevin Jenkins officiating and Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory directing.
Mrs. Harrison was born July 27, 1937, in Wayland, KY, to the late Robert D. and Maggie Kincer Perry. She was the office manager for Columbus Country Club for over 30 years and long time member of Woodland Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Edward Harrison, son, Dean Harrison, granddaughter, Nicole Harrison, and daughter-in-law, Doris Harrison.
Survivors include her sons, Dwaine Harrison of Dallas, GA, Dwight Harrison of Columbus, MS, and Danny Harrison of Steens, MS, grandchildren, Jill Lester, Steven Harrison, Lyndsy Jones, and Shawn Harrison, and numerous great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Dwaine Harrison, Dwight Harrison, Larry Berrong, Will Jones, Kyle Harrison, and Elijah Harrison.
Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
