Betty Lee Bishop, age 81, died Monday, August 19, 2024, at her residence in Columbus. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Columbus Church of Christ 2401 7th Street North with Shawn Dickey officiating.
Mrs. Bishop was born on June 24, 1943, in Tuscaloosa, AL to the late Sebron Edgar Nix and Melba Holland Nix. Betty had 2 brothers, Richard Nix and Gerald Nix. She was a member of Columbus Church of Christ and co-owner operator of Bishop Sign Company.
Survivors include her husband: Rick Bishop, children: Julie Ann Bishop Moore and her husband Earl, Eric Allen Bishop and his wife Joan. Grandchildren: Taylor Moore, Grayson Moore, Natalie Bishop, and Emmett Bishop.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Bishop, Jimmy Johnson, Derek Lowery, Kenny Holliman, David Nix, Gerald Nix, and Richard Nix.
