BERLIN TUTTLE
Retired Master Sergeant Berlin Wilbur Tuttle, age 84, of Columbus, MS, passed away February 10, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Friday, February 14, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel 716 2nd Ave. North location with Chaplain Paul Walker officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbus with full military honors. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
Mr. Tuttle was born September 19, 1935, in Monks Corner, SC, to the late Albert Dennis and Jeanie Mae Litchfield Tuttle. He was a retired master sergeant from the United States Air Force and veteran of Vietnam. Mr. Tuttle was a member of the American Legion and attended the Columbus Air Force Base Chapel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years whom he met and married in Washington, DC, Elizabeth Tuttle; and brothers, Shelvin Tuttle and Samuel Tuttle.
Survivors include his son, Allen Tuttle and his wife Penny of Columbus, MS; daughter, Vicki Tuttle of Columbus, MS; grandson, James Allen
Tuttle of Columbus, MS; sister, Albertine Tuttle of Charleston, SC; brother-in-law, Bain Combs of Montgomery, TX; sisters-in-law, Christine Tuttle
and Marcell Tuttle; nieces, Jennifer Vinzant and Backy Kern; and nephews, Zack Tuttle, Tyrone Tuttle, Kevin Tuttle, and Marlan Tuttle.
Pallbearers will be John Robinson, Walter Clay, Mark Crunkilton, Warren Edwards, Bobby Marshall and Alexander Fears.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Columbus Air Force Base Chapel, JoAnn and Howard Ferguson, Bob Walk, Don Walk, Tom Walk, Bain Combs, Doug Robinson, Pam Maxwell, Lynn Blair and Wayne Blair.
